Stephanie Scharf is founding partner of Scharf Banks Marmor LLC, a nationally prominent women-owned law firm that represents corporate clients headquartered throughout the U.S. and abroad. Stephanie is also a Principal with The Red Bee Group LLC, a consulting firm that helps businesses and law firms achieve growth and innovation, using data-based strategies with diverse and inclusive solutions. Stephanie is immediate past Chair of the American Bar Association’s Commission on Women in the Profession and is one of the nation’s leading lawyers for the advancement of women in the law.
Stephanie received a Ph.D. in Behavioral Sciences and a J.D. from the University of Chicago and frequently combines her skills in data analytics to create cutting edge research on issues of diversity and inclusion. She founded the NAWL Annual Survey, has conducted over 12 national surveys on the advancement of women in law, and most recently, published Walking Out the Door, an in-depth report about why experienced women lawyers are leaving private practice, written with former DirectWomen Chair Bobbi Liebenberg.
