Kathrin Belliveau is an accomplished and results-driven Fortune 500 C-Suite leader in the consumer products and entertainment sector with deep expertise in global regulatory affairs, sustainability, product quality & content safety, communications, and brand reputation. Known for her integrity, innovative thinking, and global crisis management leadership, Ms. Belliveau is a strategic and trusted business partner to CEOs, management teams, and Boards.
Over her 26-year career at Hasbro, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAS), a $6 Billion toy, gaming & entertainment company, Ms. Belliveau has been a change agent and catalyst for corporate responsibility leadership and brand trust to drive growth and transformation. Reporting to the CEO and a member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team, as Executive Vice President & Chief Purpose Officer, Ms. Belliveau has spearheaded and run Hasbro global affairs across 4 continents with teams reporting into her including: Government Relations, Regulatory Affairs, Corporate Communications, Product Quality Assurance (QA), Ethical Sourcing, Human Rights, Climate, Sustainability, ESG, Employee, Health & Safety (EHS), Ethics & Compliance, Consumer Call Center, and Philanthropy. Ms. Belliveau also oversaw The Hasbro Foundation and led the company’s philanthropic, DE&I, ESG, and social impact initiatives worldwide.
Ms. Belliveau has been the driving force for Hasbro’s regulatory and brand reputation for safety, environment, social, and governance excellence. She attained consistent recognition from global regulators for best-in-class product safety, sustainability, DE&I and human rights programs and high marks from corporate raters and rankers, including ISS, Sustainalytics, MSCI, Ethisphere (World’s Most Ethical Companies) and 3BLMedia (100 Best Corporate Citizens). She has been the driver of toy and gaming industry progress, including adoption of stringent lead paint regulations, reduction of plastic in single-use toy & game packaging, and launching the world’s first toy recycling program. She has testified before Congress on the topic of product safety and supply chain responsibility and has received awards and media coverage for her thought leadership in ESG and business ethics.
Ms. Belliveau currently serves as Special Advisor to the CEO for global regulatory affairs and ESG and previously served as Executive Vice President & Chief Purpose Officer at Hasbro, reporting directly to the CEO and a member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team. Prior to that, Ms. Belliveau served as Senior Vice President, Global Government Relations, Regulatory Affairs, and CSR. Over her career, Kathrin has assumed roles of increasing global responsibility, including forming the CSR function at the CEO’s request, and standing up teams and functions in multiple locations across the world (including Washington, DC; Brussels, Belgium; Sao Paolo, Brazil; Mumbai, India; and Shenzhen, China) in support of the company’s global expansion and significant market capitalization growth.
Ms. Belliveau serves on the Executive Committee and as Director of The RI Public Expenditure Council and on the Executive Committee and as Trustee of The Lincoln School. She is a member of the Wellesley College Business Leadership Council. Appointed by the RI Governor, Ms. Belliveau served on the RI Board of Governors for Higher Education from 2006-2011. She has served on the Boards of Directors of The International Council of Toy Industries (Hong Kong), the Southeast Asia Toy Association (Singapore), and The Toy Association (Washington, DC).
Kathrin holds dual U.S. and E.U. citizenship. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree, Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Wellesley College and a Juris Doctor degree from Boston College Law School.
