Megan Belcher is a highly accomplished Global Chief Legal Officer, Chief Administrative Officer, External Affairs Officer, CHRO, and board member with over 20+ years of experience leading legal, compliance, governance, and risk management functions at publicly traded, privately held, and family-controlled global companies with over $20B in revenue. Megan has developed extensive expertise in the manufacturing, highly regulated, agriculture, food processing, supply chain, and consumer goods sectors, with a deep focus on governance, corporate communication, leading due diligence and integration for up to $4B in M&A transactions, and crisis management. She has a proven track record of leading global teams on six continents and driving strategic change, stakeholder engagement, and human capital management. Megan’s career spans leadership roles in both legal and operational functions, including corporate governance, labor relations, branding and communication, global security, internal audit, and sustainability with a particular emphasis on brand and enterprise risk management.

Megan currently serves on several boards, including Yakima Chief Hops, a $400M agriculture supply chain company, where she sits on the governance and compensation committees. She also served on the board of Scoular a 130-year-old, privately held, $10B+ international agribusiness company, and various nonprofits, including The Brownell Talbot Preparatory School, a $10M independent serving over 500 students, where she was former Vice-Chair and remains an active board member. Megal also serves on the Board of DirectWomen, a national non-profit dedicated to increasing the number of women lawyers on corporate boards.

Megan currently serves as the Chief Legal Officer at Kohler Co., a leading American manufacturer and 57th largest private company in the U.S., where she leads a team of 100-plus with a $30M-plus budget and serves in a multi-functional role, leading legal, compliance, government affairs, corporate security, internal audit, and global communications. Prior to Kohler Co. she served as SVP, Chief Legal & External Affairs Officer, Corporate Secretary, with Scoular, a $10B+ global agribusiness company and commodities trading business, where she developed the board into a strategic asset, ensured global impact, and supported growth of the company from $4B to $10B+. She also had executive roles with Husch Blackwell and Conagra Brands.

Megan has a J.D. from Boston College Law School and a B.A. in Political Science with honors from the University of Missouri. She has certifications from Harvard Business School, Stanford Law School, and Cornell University and is a Certified Governance Fellow with the NACD. She is a recognized leader in her field and has been honoured with several awards, including the Omaha World Herald Inspire Award and the Women, Influence, Power & Law Award. She is an active advocate for women and children, the availability of mental health services, and offers pro bono legal services in the communities where she lives and works. She also serves on various advisory boards for non-profits in her passion areas.

In her personal life, Megan enjoys global travel with her family and has a deep love for the Oregon coast. She is in the process of becoming a certified sommelier and enjoys spending her free time traveling with her children and exploring wine and art experiences.
