Lori is a seasoned executive leader at a Fortune 10 company with more than 25 years of experience advising public companies on business strategy, risk management, and reputational issues.

Lori currently serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, and General Counsel of McKesson Corporation (NYSE: MCK), a U.S. publicly-traded diversified healthcare services company with revenues of $277B in fiscal year 2023 and a current market cap of $57B. She works closely with the board on strategic priorities, governance matters, risk management, ESG, and addressing cybersecurity and shareholder activism. Under her leadership, the company formalized a pro bono and volunteer program to support communities across the country, as well as an advocacy ambassador program to enhance the dialogue between McKesson and U.S. Congressional offices on issues of importance to the company.

Career History

Prior to becoming Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel of McKesson in 2014, Lori served as Associate General Counsel of McKesson from January 2012 to June 2014. Previously, she was a litigation partner at Morrison & Foerster, an international law firm, where she represented clients in complex litigation and investigations. Lori served for four years as chair of the firm’s 500-lawyer global litigation department.

Accomplishments

Throughout her career, Lori has led and addressed complex matters in response to and in partnership with government entities. Lori navigated the impact of the national opioid crisis for McKesson, addressing the government-entity and private party litigation landscape, complex and novel legal theories, and the reputational microscope from politicians, shareholders, and the public. She helped turn challenges into opportunities and partnerships with carefully directed government entity settlements and the formation of a private foundation, both focused on critical response efforts to address the epidemic. Lori and the teams she leads also helped ensure McKesson’s successful partnership with the U.S. government in its role as the sole distributor selected to deliver COVID-19 vaccines nationwide.

Lori’s leadership accomplishments were recognized in 2022 when she received a Burton Award at the Library of Congress based on her demonstrated track record of addressing complex matters of national or global significance in a specialized area.
