Ms. Walker-Lee is an experienced executive and board director in the automotive, industrial, and construction industries. She is the retired Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of TRW Automotive Holdings (NYSE:TRW), a $17B global automotive supplier. TRW was taken private in May 2015 by ZF Group. During her five years at TRW, she was a member of the TRW Executive Officer team, the company’s 5-person management group. When she joined the company, it was majority owned by Blackstone Group, which had divested by the time of the sale to ZF. In her executive role, she advised company leadership and the Board of Directors on significant issues facing the company, including matters related to the acquisition of TRW stock by ZF, as well as the antitrust investigations of TRW settled with the U.S. Department of Justice and the European Commission.
Prior to joining TRW, she held a number of leadership positions at General Motors, including Assistant General Counsel-Operations, and prior to that General Counsel & VP Public Policy for GM Latin America, Africa and Middle East, one of the four business segments at GM. She also handled various high-profile matters during the GM bankruptcy restructuring, on special assignment to the corporation.
Resourceful and practical, she has been an invaluable partner to business leaders in crafting effective and successful strategies to meet objectives while avoiding unreasonable risk. Ms. Walker-Lee has provided high-level leadership in a variety of significant and sensitive issues that combine business, policy, and governance considerations.
Starting in 2015, Ms. Walker-Lee served on the Board of Directors of Rexnord Corp. (NYSE: RXN) as well as the compensation and the nominating and governance committees. In 2021 Rexnord merged its principal business, the motion and process control segment, with Regal Beloit Corp. (NASDAQ:RBC) through a reverse Morris trust. Ms. Walker-Lee served on Rexnord’s board transaction committee for this initiative. She now serves on the board and corporate governance, sustainability and director affairs committee of the combined Regal Rexnord Corp. (NYSE:RRX), a $5B industrial company. Rexnord continues to do business as a water management company under the name Zurn Water Solutions (NYSE:ZWS).
In 2018, she was appointed to the board of EMCOR Group (NYSE:EME), a $9B company with a leading position in mechanical and electrical construction services, industrial and energy infrastructure and building services. She also serves as chair of its nominating and governance committee.
Ms. Walker-Lee received her BA from the University of Kansas. She went on to receive a JD, magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan, where she was Executive Editor of the Law Review.
