Aleks Miziolek is a strategic global leader with significant international M&A and automotive, transportation and infrastructure sector experience. Aleks served as the Chief Transformation Officer of Cooper-Standard Holdings Inc. (NYSE: CPS), a $3.2B automotive parts manufacturer, having previously served as its Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer.
In her most recent role, Aleks was focused on leading crucial transformation initiatives aimed at increasing profitability and was actively involved in the development of the Company’s growth strategy for its nonautomotive specialty markets and material science businesses. In her prior roles, Aleks contributed to the successful transition of CPS’ shareholder base from primary hedge fund to traditional institutional investor ownership, led a diverse team focused on adding value and efficiencies to business operations, and facilitated the integration of global ESG activities with the strategic planning process. As a member of the Cooper Standard global leadership team since joining the Company in 2014, Aleks collaborated with other leaders on numerous strategic initiatives with particular emphasis on identifying and vetting M&A targets, building relationships with joint venture partners, leading negotiations and in deal execution throughout Europe and Asia.
Prior to joining Cooper Standard, Aleks was engaged in the private practice of law for 32 years with the AmLaw 200 firm of Dykema Gossett, where she held several key leadership positions and built a successful M&A practice spanning multiple industries. During her three-year term as the Director of the Automotive Industry Group, Aleks established a disciplined revenue growth strategy enabling her team of over 100 to achieve a 28% increase in automotive revenues for the firm. Her experience representing a global infrastructure fund in its first infrastructure investment in the United States enabled Aleks to focus on building local and national awareness of public-private partnerships (P3s), leading her to speak at national P3 conferences and organize the first Michigan P3 Summit.
Aleks currently serves as the Chair of the Citizens Research Council of Michigan (CRC), nonpartisan, public policy think tank where she leads a 35-member Board of Directors representing some of the most respected organizations in Michigan. She also serves on the Board of Southwest Solutions, a nonprofit focused on providing integrated services and community revitalization in the metropolitan Detroit area as well as on the Honorary Board of Directors of Inforum, a women’s leadership organization where she chairs its Corporate Partners Committee. She is a NACD Governance Fellow and serves on the Transportation and Infrastructure Policy Committee of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM).
