Andrea S. Christensen currently serves on the Board of Directors of Keyspan Corporation. Ms. Christensen is Special Counsel in the litigation department at Kaye Scholer LLP, the firm where she was a partner from 1976 to 2005. Her practice focused on class actions, employment and labor, equal rights litigation and compliance and alternative dispute resolution. She previously served on the board of Brooklyn Union Gas Co. Inc. for 20 years. Ms. Christensen has also held the position of adjunct professor at the New York University School of Law. Ms. Christensen started her legal career at Kelly Drye and Warren LLP.
Ms. Christensen also serves on the board of Inwood House Inc., a residence established in 1830 to provide support, housing and services to homeless, pregnant teenagers in foster care. Ms. Christensen has served as a committee chairman for the New York County Lawyers Association and was a director of the board and a member of the Executive Committee of the American Arbitration Association. She was a member of the International Labour Organization as well. Ms. Christensen is currently mastering the piano and music theory at the Juilliard School.
Ms. Christensen holds a B.A. from Vassar College and a L.L.B. from New York University School of Law.
