Julie Jacobs is General Counsel of Verizon Media, a global technology and digital media company with a dynamic house of brands that reach over one billion people around the world. Yahoo (Yahoo Mail, Yahoo.com, Yahoo Finance, Yahoo News and Yahoo Sports), AOL (AOL Mail and AOL.com), TechCrunch and MAKERS are among the brands in Verizon Media’s portfolio. In her current role, Julie is responsible for all Legal, Regulatory, Privacy, Compliance and Public Policy matters for Verizon Media. Julie led the integration of the Yahoo and AOL Legal Departments following the acquisition of Yahoo in 2017. She also negotiated, structured and documented the acquisition of AOL by Verizon Communications in 2015. Julie joined AOL in 2000 from Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy LLP.

Julie graduated from Georgetown University Law Center where she was a member of The Georgetown Law Journal and holds a B.S. degree in Finance from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She lives in Arlington, Virginia with her husband, three sons and a Golden Retriever named Oshie. When not in a global pandemic, she spends her weekends at various ice rinks up and down the East Coast cheering on her hockey playing boys as well as the Washington Capitals.
