Kimberly Lytikainen is the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, and Corporate Secretary for FIVE9, Inc. (NASDAQ: FIVN) a leading provider of the customer experience platform that enables healthcare, retail and financial businesses to connect to their end customers and deliver exceptional customer support experiences.

Kimberly has contributed to this high-growth company by partnering with board members and other executives to establish core operations of the company, including to build the legal and compliance function from the ground up. She is an instrumental contributor to the company’s business strategy and global operations, including leading a legal and compliance team that supports over 2800 employees in the U.S., Europe and East Asia, co-quarterbacking a $14.7B M&A transaction with Zoom, and helping the board of directors and management navigate a CEO transition.  Kimberly also has notable expertise in the areas of data privacy, cybersecurity, telecommunications, complex commercial transactions, and intellectual property strategy, licensing and litigation.

Prior to her current role, Kimberly prepared two companies for the public markets — MINDBODY, Inc., the leading business management software platform for the wellness industry, taking them public in 2015 and helping them scale business operations through its successful acquisition by Vista Equity Partners, and POSHMARK, Inc., the consumer resale marketplace, for its public debut (and ultimate sale to Naver), as well as spearheaded business processes and operations for the consumer facing regulatory global environment.

A Silicon Valley veteran, Kimberly was trained at Sun Microsystems and has experience leading companies through crises, as demonstrated by her successful management of customer and partner communications, media, and a $500m reserve to resolve a bet-the-company chip failure while she was at NVIDIA.

Prior to joining the leadership teams of public and private companies, Kimberly was a trial lawyer handling numerous commercial and IP disputes in state and federal court. She was inspired to go to law school after being selected in high school for an internship with Senator Edward M. Kennedy.

Kimberly graduated top of her class from Florida State University with a B.A. in Political Science and Government, earned her Juris Doctor with distinction from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles, and graduated from Stanford University’s Executive Business Leadership and Excellence Program.
