Patricia Salas Pineda is a former General Counsel and Group Vice President of Toyota Motor North America, Inc., where she oversaw legal, corporate communications, corporate advertising, human resources, philanthropy, accounting, and Hispanic business strategies. Prior to Toyota, Ms. Pineda was General Counsel and Vice President of New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc., a joint venture between General Motors and Toyota Motor Corporation, where she oversaw legal, human resources, environmental affairs, and government affairs.
Ms. Pineda currently serves on the boards of Omnicom Group Inc, Portland General Electric, and Frontier Group Holdings, Inc. She is a former board director of Levi Strauss & Co, Anna’s Linens, and Eller Media Company, Inc.
Ms. Pineda’s corporate board experience includes apparel, retail, consumer products, transportation, energy, and marketing/media/communications. As a board director, she has extensive experience working with both public and private companies and chairing board committees. She has overseen brand and digital transformations, acquisitions, and two successful IPOs.
Ms. Pineda has extensive non-profit board experience including serving on the boards of Earthjustice, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, The James Irvine Foundation, KQED, Mills College, RAND, and The New York Restoration Project. She is also chairwoman emeritus and a co-founder of the Latino Corporate Directors Association.
She has received numerous leadership awards, including NACD’s Directorship 100 Award in 2021 and 2022.
Ms. Pineda received her B. A. in Government from Mills College and her J.D. from University of California Berkeley School of Law.
