Laura Beth Hooper joined DirectWomen in February 2017. Prior to joining DirectWomen, Laura Beth served as an intern at a variety of non-profits including the Consortium for Gender, Security and Human Rights, Just Innovate, and Justice at Stake. At these non-profits, she held a range of responsibilities ranging from research and report writing to social media marketing. While in college, Laura Beth was head delegate of her university’s Model United Nations Team and author of an honors thesis on the gendered impacts of water infrastructure development in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She graduated summa cum laude from Baylor University in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in International Studies.
