Jill Twedt is a proven executive and a member of the C-suite team at Boise Cascade, a public company and one of the largest producers of engineered wood products and plywood in North America as well as the largest two-step wholesale distributor of building materials. Boise Cascade has approximately 7,500 employees and $7 billion in annual revenues.

As SVP, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Ms. Twedt established the Company’s legal and regulatory affairs teams and was the catalyst for implementing sustainability and governance best practices in partnership with the lead independent director in the board room. In addition, she is a key contributor and valued member of the C-suite team and leads the strategic direction and objectives at the enterprise level. Ms. Twedt leads the legal, regulatory affairs, compliance, sustainability, environmental, records management, and governance functions for the company, working closely with the board of directors serving as its trusted adviser in board and board committee meetings.

Ms. Twedt chairs the Audit Risk and Compliance Committee and is a member of the board of directors for St. Luke’s Health System, the largest health system and employer in Idaho including six hospitals, the state’s only children’s hospital, a provider network, and a health insurance subsidiary.

Prior to joining Boise Cascade in 2007, Ms. Twedt was in private practice as an employment defense attorney. Shortly after joining Boise Cascade, the company sold its paper and packaging assets and Ms. Twedt was promoted to Associate General Counsel, focusing on all aspects of compliance and corporate and employment law.  She was promoted to Vice President, Legal and Corporate Secretary in 2017, then to Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in January 2019, and Senior Vice President in October 2020.

Ms. Twedt is actively involved in her alma matter, the College of Idaho, as its immediate past Board Chair, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in political science. She earned her law degree from the University of Idaho, College of Law.  She previously served on the board of the United Way of Treasure Valley, and Board President for Boise Valley Habitat for Humanity. Ms. Twedt is a Fellow of CEO Perspectives and Leading Women Executives, has been recognized by the Association of Corporate Counsel as Ally of the Year 2024, Idaho Women Lawyers for Setting the Bar 2022, and the Idaho Business Review as a Leader in Law as well as Accomplished Under 40 award recipients.
